Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of SkillStack ("we", "us"). SkillStack is building a worker-first platform for worker profiles, proof of work, readiness signals, and future client booking features. During controlled beta, client bookings and payment features are not active.

1. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account.

2. Marketplace role

Workers are independent providers, not employees of SkillStack. Booking and payment features are not active during controlled beta; SkillStack currently supports matching, Passport readiness, and rate research only. Access is manually reviewed and not guaranteed, and jobs, bookings, and approval are not guaranteed. Booking and payment terms will be published before those features are launched.

3. Fees

During controlled beta, SkillStack does not charge workers or clients through the platform because payment and booking features are not active. Any future fees, payment terms, or charges will be published before those features are launched. Continued use of SkillStack after those future terms are published may require acceptance of updated terms.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use SkillStack for unlawful, harmful, or deceptive activity, or to circumvent verification or dispute resolution.

5. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations. You may close your account at any time; obligations for open bookings survive.

6. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees paid in the prior 12 months.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable United States law and the laws of the jurisdiction where SkillStack operates, unless a later counsel-reviewed version states otherwise.

8. Changes

We will notify you of material changes. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
