Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data SkillStack collects during controlled beta, why, and how you can exercise your rights. It describes what actually happens today, not planned features.

1. Data we collect during controlled beta

• Beta access request details: name, email, role interest, how you heard about SkillStack, and anything you write in the message field.
• Account details: email and the profile information you enter after your access request is approved.
• Passport content you submit: skills, service area, categories, proof-of-work descriptions and images, and credential or training information you choose to add.
• Rate Check inputs: category, service area, and experience information you enter.
• Contact form content and the messages you send us.
• Usage & device data: IP address, browser, and interactions with the service, including anti-abuse signals from the anti-bot check on public forms.

We do not run background checks, identity verification, or credential verification during controlled beta, and we do not collect government identification documents, Social Security numbers, or tax identification numbers.

We do not collect or store payment card data. Bookings and payment features are not active, so there is no booking history, payment history, transaction review, or payout record to collect.

2. How we use it

To review beta access requests manually, operate your Passport and Rate Check, respond to you, prevent abuse and fraud, keep the service secure, and comply with law. Beta access decisions are made by a person; we do not use automated decision-making to approve, rank, or reject you.

3. Sharing

Necessary service providers process personal information under contract so we can operate, secure, and communicate about the platform. Today these are: infrastructure, hosting and database; email delivery; and the anti-bot check on public forms. These providers may process your information only to provide those services to us.

SkillStack does not currently sell personal information. SkillStack does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. SkillStack does not currently use advertising pixels or session-replay tools on this site. We do keep operational and security logs, and we use first-party information about how the service is used to run and secure it. These statements describe current practice; if it changes, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect.

4. Retention

We retain beta access requests, account records, and Passport content for as long as your account or request is active, plus a reasonable period required for legal, security, and record-keeping purposes. You can ask us to delete content you submitted; some records may be retained where retention is required or permitted by law, and backups and logs may persist for a limited period after deletion.

5. Your rights

You may access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal data by emailing support@skillstack.life.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit, row-level authorization, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure and we do not claim complete encryption, complete anonymity, or complete deletion; report suspected vulnerabilities to support.
