SkillStack is onboarding its first wave of up to 100 California workers who can show real proof of work instead of a resume.

Requests are reviewed manually. Access is limited and not guaranteed. Jobs are not guaranteed. Payment features are not enabled during beta.

What counts as a receipt

A receipt is anything that shows the work actually happened.

  • Before and after photos of a job you completed
  • A short description of the job, the site, and what you fixed
  • A reference or contact who can confirm the work
  • A licence, certificate, or training record, if you have one
  • Tools, equipment, or vehicle you bring to a job

What this wave actually is

  • Up to 100 California workers are being onboarded in this controlled wave.
  • This is a readiness wave: you build your Passport and category readiness first.
  • Client bookings are not active yet, so no jobs are being handed out.
  • Payment features are not enabled during controlled beta.
  • Being early helps you be ready first — it does not guarantee work or income.

Straight answers

Will I get work right away?

No. Client bookings are not active yet. This wave is about worker readiness, not job placement.

Does it cost anything?

No. There is no fee to request access, build your Passport, or use Rate Check during controlled beta.

Do I need a licence?

Not for every category. If you hold a licence or certificate you can add it, and where the law requires one you must have it.

Am I guaranteed access?

No. Every request is reviewed manually and access is limited.

Do you pay through SkillStack?

Payment features are not enabled during controlled beta.

Know someone whose work speaks for itself?

Share the First 100 Receipts page with a worker who has proof of good work. There's no reward and no queue-jumping — sharing does not change review order or access.
